CHICAGO THANKSGIVING PARADE CELEBRATES 90TH ANNIVERSARY WITH DIVERSE ARRAY OF MARCHING BANDS, FESTIVE FLOATS, STAGED PERFORMANCES AND MORE

(October 24, 2024) The award-winning Chicago Thanksgiving Parade returns for its 90th anniversary on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT, traveling up Chicago’s legendary State Street from Ida B. Wells Drive to Randolph Street. This free family tradition joyfully highlights talent from across the nation and the best Chicagoland has to offer, including marching bands, festive floats, majestic equestrian units and a diverse array of cultural performance troupes, all led by notable Chicago hosts and a special visitor from the North Pole—offering a celebration with jolly sights and sounds for attendees of all ages. This year, the parade will be aired live on Pluto TV, Paramount’s free streaming service, for families who wish to spectate from home this holiday.

Special guests for Chicago Thanksgiving Parade this year include: Lynn Whitfield, Emmy Award-winning actor for her role in The Josephine Baker Story (1991) and currently appearing in The Chi; and performances by contemporary country music stars Reyna Roberts, recently featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, and Donnie Lee Strickland. The hosts for this year’s Parade are Rock 95.5 personalities: Angi Taylor Morning Show host Marris and late night show host Maria Palmer.

For those seeking an extra-special experience, the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade offers VIP seating providing the best view of the parade and the opportunity to enjoy the staged-for-TV performances right before their eyes, in addition to the forward-motion parade.
